I have a clip at the top of the pennant which keeps the jib luff aligned with the forestay. The clip is close to the same size as the jib's hanks. My 150 genoa rides past the mast but doesn't touch at the top when the pennant is used. My CM26 was designed to use the forestay where it is and is well balanced. I thought when I first used the pennant that the higher the jib, the more heal ..... not the case ..... if it does it's not noticeable. The extra view makes it easier to land at the mooring, snag the dinghy, or land on the beach between the rocks. It's a useful tool that I can use, or not, depending on the situation and wind. Cheers, Mike
