Cost is 69.99 This is the one I bought. The other winch they carry that will also fit is Dutton Lainson auto brake winch---- 1200 lb. cap. cost 54.99 If you want to mount the winch so that the handle will protrude thru the opening port in the companionway step you have to remove the handle and have a socket welded to the nut. I used a 7/8 stainless deep socket welded to the top locking nut so I could leave it on all the time and just used a rachet to crank the keel. I believe Mikke Lainey did the same thing. Works great and when not in use you can screw in the cover plate. I don't like having to go below to work the winch. Now go sailing!!! Tom cm26
