Com-Pac 16 - Positive Flotation?

I bought a 1981 Com-Pac 16 in October, but given the cold weather in MN since then I haven't spent much time exploring every nook-and-cranny yet. I did notice a large block of foam under the cockpit, but that doesn't look like enough to offset the ballast if the boat gets swamped. Does anyone know if there is enough flotation in these boats to keep them off the bottom?
