New here.Love to trailer sail.A shorty story of a "exciting" day in my Compac 16 'Devine Wind'. My wife is a non-swimmer. Pontoon boats are more her style. We were haveing a fine day sailing on one of New Hampshire's many lakes. This one was not so large. It was about 7 miles long,by about 1 mile at it's max. Great am weather. We had lunch on what little sandy shoreline we could find and enjoyed the sun. After a couple of hours, some light puffy clouds started to pop up, so I wanted to get in some sailing with the fine breeze we had. My wife rather get the sun. I said" you can get plenty of than on the boat". We sailed about another 1/2 or so about the lake. MY wife for once was enjoying her sail! Yet I noticed the clouds building quickly, though yet still a quite nice day. WE were camped at a campground about mid lake,it's widest point I said "the clouds are growing quite fast now, might have a storm in a couple of hours. Think we best head in". Surprised, my wife said "there's still plenty of sun. Let's sail across the lake and back first." "Mmm??? not the best idea" I replied. Yet I agreed. Once across, we sailed around a very small island that blocked the view of the southern end of the lake. To the north the sky was about 50% blue. As we cleared the small island the sky was almost black in the south, yet the wind was just as before, but I knew not for long. "best to stay this side to this storm passes. Will complete in a follow-up
