What are some of the best sailing resources/tools you've found on the net? I have a few:
Sailfow.com forecasts winds as well as offers current conditions and historical data. I keep this one in my menu bar and check it quite often. http://www.sailflow.com
A couple sites I've found offer nautical chart overlays on Google Earth. Click on each link below and download a small .kml file. If you have Google Earth installed (the application, not the google map website), it will open your Google Earth and as you zoom in on a location, the nautical chart data will become visible. Infinitely useful!
http://earth.google.com/ <--Get Google Earth here.
http://navimatics.com/maps.aspx <--Navimatics sells map data for Garmin GPS and iPhone and offers a free online version here
http://earthnc.com/online <--EarthNC offers a lot of free online tools and stand-alone versions for sale.
ActiveCaptain currently has a visual database of over 10,000 marinas, over 15,000 local knowledge markers, 4,000 reviews, and 2,000 anchorages. It's web-based, using google earth.
http://www.activecaptain.com/ <--A great site!! Free registration required.
I'm not affiliated in any way with any of these site. Just passing along some good info to some good people.
