P-21 Catbird seat work-around

I want to install catbird seats to my 1997 P-21 and was told by the factory that new railings etc. are needed and would the project overall would cost more than $1000. He was very helpful, however, and suggested I check for a cheaper solution on line. Does anyone have a lead on a source for catbird seats that will fit?
