House) DAve: I forgot to ask if you guys are planning on stopping at some of the Midriff Islands to camp, as you make your way across. If so, (and for your gee whiz file of perhaps useless information) I hear some are ""camp-able" and some aren't and someone said some of them are "Protected Habitat Zones" and I know some have such steep and rocky shorelines...one couldn't make a landing if one had to.... and some, due to the gwano (bird droppings) stink so bad, you wouldn't want to ...not to mention the biting "no-see-ums" during parts of the season... You may wish to check out some of this, in your preparations.... Cheers, Tom Also, are you guys "dyed in the wool Purists" or have you considered using a small sail to help you make the trip...(assuming you could find favorable wind...? Tom
