Hi,

We just came back from La Paz. Our boat is still there. The best thing to do for a week sharter is to go up to Espiritu Santo. Maybe as far as San Evaristo. Weather will be warm in May. Depending on your resistance you may not need wet suits. I was there last June and snorkled without a wet suit some of the time. If you are going to spend a lot of time in the water, you will need a light skin though. Plus there sometimes are some tiny organisms in the water that makes me itch. There are many anchorages there and I have never seen big crowds. Maybe 3 or boats, at most. Not sure about thw whales. They are probably gone by that time. We took our boat there in 2004 and are yet to see a whale. Of course we are not there full time so we probably just missed them. We heard people on mooring boats around San Evaristo 2 weeks ago saying that there were grey whales around them but we missed out. Anyway, you will have a great time. Jeannette
