How much time do you have?? I have sailed from Puerto Penasco to Isla Angel and back and it was a nice trip about 22 hours each way. If I was planning on doing the trip you're talking about I think I would use that as a stop for a day or 2 each way. There is also another midriff Island that would make a good stop but can't recall the name and don't have my charts with me. It is the furthest south and has a decent but not great anchorage. This would probably add some miles to your trip but if you have the time would be nice. Puerto Refugio is a really nice anchorage on the North end of Isla Angel and is well worth a stop.
