The NO. 1036676 is the official vessel registration number. When the vessel was built it was registered with the Department of Transportation U.S. Coast Guard. This was the hull number assigned. Even though the boat's name may change over the years the hull # always remains the same. Madwenowe was built is 1967 and has had several name changes. Many sunken vessel had the number carved on a main beam somewhere below deck for easy identification.
