The world is full of people who like to sit in harbor, rarely moving their boat and spouting off to anyone who will listen. I'm not saying that is you, merely that there are many people who claim to know it all by merely reading stuff on the internet or clinging to their glory days from years ago. I've seen it from Luperon to San Carlos.I know that it is harder to sail back north in the winter. We mostly waited for dead calm nights and motored north at 7 knots. Granted it was not sailing,it did however, allow for us to get north really easy. So easy in fact that we sailed south again from Conception Bay and then finally north from San Juanico. I only responded to the post because I felt SC was a nice place with mostly friendly, helpful people and would recommend it to anyone.
