Hwy 1 through Baja is a b@tch with a boat that big. SC is awesome. 40 anchorages within 60 miles. Cross over to Baja, going SC to Conception. The crusing ground from Conception to LA PAZ is some of the best in the world. Hook is right about Northers. You should study up on them. In the winter, the wind will be at your back going from Conception to LA PAZ.
