I don't have a departure date either, I will be single handed and may let the weather steer me, although it's usually fantastic in Oct. My goal was to touch Angel or Shark Island. I want your thoughts on being "official" with Mexico. The reason I ask is because I went through all the hoops when I sailed to San Felipe and the day I returned I purposely did not check in to see if they would at least try me on channel 26, but nothing... I waited 3 days monitoring the radio. It made me feel as though it was the money not my safety they were interested in. I'm not sure I will be "official" again, just sail south and return, keep it simple. I really wanted to know from fellow sailors how this is perceived? I've been going to Penasco my whole life and I'm used to and enjoy being invisible. I would be up for meeting up somewhere out there.
