Date: 8/29/06 11:14a.m. Report: outside forum guidelines In Response To: I'm not locked in either (Jeff Martin) We have never gone 'legal'. On our 2-3 day juants I have never done the paperwork that technically you are supposed to have, although Safe Marina maintains launch records that show our destination and return dates. With all the changes to requirements recently I need to determine what is needed now. Since this trip is not likely to have us in any ports outside of the state of Sonora, I wonder if anything is needed. Unfortunately going to the Port Captains office may not be the best way to find out. I'm inclined to just treat it as an extended daysail and just let Safe Marina know my intentions. We would likely follow the wind as well. Winds are normally SE so San Felipe, Puertocitos, Angel Island, across to Shark and back up would be a major loop if the wind and weather allowed.
