During the hurricane one small sail boats' stern line broke free (stern boat cleat broke out). It was a wooden boat and soft wood was found where the cleat came out. One powerboat had scratches in the gel coat. The lines on the opposite side stretched and allowed the boat to touch the dock rub rail. The rub rail broke free and left a couple of exposed screws. The exposed screws put a few gouges in the gel coat. Please note we all put our own lines on.
Now that everything is inspected, The marina has offered to pay for the repairs!! NOW that is going out of the way to do the right thing!!!
The Marina de La Paz owners and crew were at the marina ALL NIGHT LONG, and long into the next day. They were checking boats ALL the time. At about 0300 they asked ALL owners to get off the boats and come up to the brick office. They had coffee and sandwiches for everyone. Once again, the right thing!!
This is the BEST marina I have ever been in!
