I appreciated your gear report, too.
Got a few questions: What do you think about the Icom 706 vs. the 718? How do they compare for ease of use? Got any special advice on protecting the radio from wet?
A few more. Suppose your reefer were your only big amp draw. If someone is thinking ONLY about keeping cold drinks and ice available in hot weather (thus no need at all to have unit on continuously), using a small Engel portable freezer/refrigerator drawing max three amps on a boat that has two Group 27 batteries, would you anticipate any need for solar panels?
