The section south of Sta. Rosalia will be easier. I shadowed a Hobie from Concepcion to Pulpito until a 20kt from the north came up and they disappeared over the horizon. Steep 8-9 ft waves common but they(2), seemingly heavily burdened, shifting bags each tack, did fine and had a great time. I could here them laughing a mile away. Later met and (suprize)found they were not that young (40-50 yr I'd guess). San Felipe to Gonzaga one can find good beaches but the slot from Punta Final to near BLA the coast usually steep and/or rocky. Great hiking, wonderful wilderness, you'll likely see no boats during that passage including pangas. Experience of kayakers good to study. I regret not keeping a GPS log with my notes to referance potential landing sites in that section. The 130 ft/inch Google photos with notes on coastline extractor may prove vital. Seldom will use VHF. Assume you must get out on your own. A distillation pot built from presure cooker or similar will save weight. Been done many times but still a great adventure.
