Good evening Eric,
Try asking the same question on the West Wight Potter forum. I am pretty sure there are a few Potter skippers that have already blazed the trail before you. I think Mr. Jensen, from the NW Potters and possibly one or two of his cohorts have sailed the Sea of Cortez. Anyhow, give them a try, you should get a heapin' chunk of info.
