In Response To: West Wight Pottering around San Carlos (Eric Christenson P 14 "Hana" Flagstaff, AZ)

San Carlos has an excellent launch site. In January the winds tend to be alitte on the brisk side, but there still is plenty of area to sail in a boat your size. The wind is usually calm in the morning and starts to pick-up from the north as the day warms up. Local weather reports are pretty reliable. If you stay inside of Punta Doble and east of San Carlos in Bahia San Francisco you will have some nice sailing. Make sure your registration of both car and boat are upto date. See you in San Carlos.
