Snafu has been jacked up above the high water mark and as we speak she is being repaired. Extensive repairs on the main hull and both amas need to be completed. Don says he should be in SC by early February. He has driven to San Sebastian with more supplies and plans on replacing all the wood, fairing, glassing, and paitning in place. The people of San Sebastion have been very helpful to him, helping him with whatever he needs. It is probably the most excitement they have had there in years. Don is in good spirits and, as expected, is taking on the challenge with vigor. He built the jacks in Mesa and traveled to San Sebastion on Sea bird with Robert. The Jacks were installed somtime before Christmas and worked perfectly. She was jacked up where she lay and will be repaired there. When the repair is finished she will be lowered and float away, no launching problems. Lots of work on the repairs to do but Don is up to the task. You can email him support at dononsnafu@yahoo.com.
