Good advice....

Shuffling instead of stepping, avoiding areas where rays like to be.....etc.

However, while one is using Epson salt, or whatever, also bare in mind, the barb is often brittle and a portion may break off and remain in the wound....not good!

Avoiding the sting is the best, immediate treatment is good and then also seeking competent medical help is a plus.

Diver's Alter Network ("DAN") has some pretty good and low cost insurance, one may wish to look into.

I have no vested interest in DAN, other than carrying its insurance for me and the family...but I've found it provides evacuation, medical assistance, medical consultation, etc. and though it is primarily for scuba divers or their families....it also has great application for snorkeling, those who goof off in the water, etc.

Just something to consider.
