Hi Alain. That's the way I read the "vision" billboard. They appear to be planning to dredge pretty much the whole harbor, and put slips *all* around it. There is to be an island in the middle (presumably made of the dredgings)with a resort hotel on it. The town waterfront has already been cleaned up a lot, and all the rusting trawler hulks are gone. As of last spring, there is one dock in place, with 25 or so slips, and there is a travellift on the shore. This first phase is just toward the ferry docks from the fisherman's statue at the waterfront park. A lot of the raw sewage dumping in the bay appears to have been contained. The harbor actually is pretty attractive, as it stands. As usual, it's anybody's guess how much of this will actually "fly", and how soon. What'll they do with 3000 tourists? You can bet that a lot of them will be bussed over to San Carlos to wander around. Hope to see you guys this winter. Johnny
