Well, we're putting together a trip to San Carlos for some fun in the sun, on our Stiletto 27 Catamaran.
Below is our evolving plan.

FLOAT PLAN: (October 4-Oct 14, 2007)
Launch Marina San Carlos, Mexico - Destination: sailing and boat camping in the direction of Santa Rosalia to Mulege to Bahia Consepcion to Loreto or in reverse order depending on wind direction

Boat: Hull Number UT 1307 AC. Name: “Salsa” – A white hull with red trim, red mast, blue boom, 27 ft cutter rigged Stiletto catamaran, single reef all white main, andwhite jib, blu/wht genoa, purple/green and white lapper head sails.
Equipment onboard boat: Boat is equipped with spare pins, clevis pins, shackles, etc. It also has a 15 hp Honda outboard engine and we’ll be carrying 18 gallons of fuel. Under normal conditions, the engine runs about 1 hour/gallon and pushes the boat at about 8 knots, giving the boat approx. 144 miles range under power, in calm seas. The boat also has a Walker Bay 8 ft. hard bottom inflatable dingy, w/ 1 ½ hp Honda outboard and; 2 oars. 1 throwable floatation device; 6 class II PFDs (w/ attached whistle and waterproof flashlight and each crew required to wear PFD while onboard moving boat); 2 VHF Marine radios; 1 mast antenna’d Horizon Intrepid and 1Garmin 724 handheld submersible with 1 ser of extra batteries); We will be monitoring VHF Channels 16 & 14; 2 Submersible Chart-plotting GPS’s with extra sets of batteries); 1 cell phone (801-589-9596); 2 compass; 3 submersible diver's flashlights; four 5 gallon containers of fresh water; 3 handheld flares, 6 meteor skyflares and 1 launcher, 6 chemical lights, snorkel gear, wet suits, two orange semi-dry spray tops; emergency no-prep meals for four people for three days (e.g. MRE type rations); sleeping bags, tent and 1 blue tarp, personal gear (e.g. hygiene and clothes); three dry bags to contain bulk equipment (i.e., one large red bag, one yellow bag and one green bag.); 2 anchors and 150 ft. of rode (each), 1 throw bags containing 50 ft of line; maps of cruising area; sun screen and sunglasses; small cook stove and fuel, PUR Survivor 35 desalinator, 9 ft. Parachute Sea Anchor ; two drogues; one red strobe
