thanks tom-
that Tucson Sailing Club trip booklet is chock full of needed information for that trip (except perhaps some of the recipies)
i spent all winter researching and compiling all that information before i made my first trip from SC to Concepcion and back (march 2003). many people here on this forum helped me. the research was a fun part of the trip but it sure would have been nice to have it all handed to me in a .pdf document.
the only thing i didn't see addressed (and it probably should be) is temporary import permission for your boat to be in mexican waters. now that sonora has a free zone all the way to guaymas, you can take your boat down there and sail it locally without any import papers BUT, i suspect, that in order to be completely legal you should probably get an all-mexico temporary import or a 10-year import for your boat when you enter mexico (at K21) if you plan to take it out of sonora beyond guaymas. bahia concepcion on the baja would be beyond guaymas, sí?
what's your plan along those lines for your stilleto on your october trip?

ps- i sold my MAC 25 last week and bought a C&C Mega 30 trailerable
