San Carlos Ariport is growing most for private planes

If I remember correctly, the Airport at San Carlos is undergoing somewhat of a face lift. I would assume that face lift would be a bit slow. However, the information I got said the expansion is to accomodate more private planes and very light commmercial. I'd assume the very light commercial probably means very small commuter type.

On the other hand, Guymans seems to be gearing up for more heavy commercial stuff, probably in conjunction with their efforts to attract more cruise ships and the people they attract.

A few years ago Southwest had flights from various cities in the states at some pretty good rates. That has since been discontinued, but perhaps it may start back up as Guymas gears up.

All that sure spells some good and bad news.

The good news is easier access and therein lies the bad as more poeple find this great area, bringing more people and more services and more people and more services and then it starts looking like Los Angeles.

Anyone know what is happening with the effort to build condos and a new marina onn the back side of Martini Cove??
