I have a 16 foot Hobie Cat and a one person Kayak that I'd like to take down to Rocky Point this Spring for Spring Break. I have the registration for the trailer, and the Hobie Cat. (The Kayak does not have any registration. - It was about $300 at the local sporting goods store.) I can easily launch the sailboat right from the beach (just pull it off the trailer, and carry it to the water (with 3 - 4 guys). Since I've never taken a boat into Mexico, I'm a little concerned about this....Has anyone had any experience with smaller boats (like a Hobie or a small kayak?)
