Thanks everyone for the tips and info. After reading your comments and accounts of your experiences, I'm thinking that this might be a little more than I can handle, and until I have more sailing experience I should probably just stick to offshore sailing around Kino and San Carlos this summer, maybe check out Isla Tiburon, and save crossing to Baja for a future trip.
