I'm planning to spend a month on the Cortez this summer in my MacGregor 26, and I'm still young and crazy enough to be doing it despite the heat. I've spent time in July there before, but never under sail. Any general thoughts on cruising the summer?
As I recall, mornings tend to be dead calm, but there's usually a breeze in the afternoons. I remember Concepcion being oppressively hot, but elsewhere it was manageable. Is there enough wind to make it fun, and where are the best spots to resupply (groceries and such close to anchorage)? Thanks
