In MX, you are required to have a separate policy for liability ON THE WATER. This has nothing to do with your auto ins or other boat ins. The one year policy is about $100 or you can buy it by the day. This has to be from a MX ins company. You can Google it or look at any of the San Carlos web sites. My experience is that if you need about 14 days worth, it ends up to cost the same as one year.
