In Response To: The murder rate is even higher in DC, the capitol of the U.S. (pic) (Jim, Triton 94/kd7yll)

I've seen several articles about bad Mexico and tourists getting into some pretty serious problems, including getting shot or falling off of balconies at 4 in the morning... We've never had a problem, touch wood. Found people to be very friendly, helpful, kind, warm hearted, and generous. But then for the most part, we are not hanging downtown looking to party at the late hours of the morning, nor are we drinking and drugging until we are unrecognizable. Actually, I take that back, the couple of times where we could have had a problem was with drunks or druggies drifting back into the hotel that we were staying in. The marinas don't seen to put up the that crap.
