In Response To: Use Fabric Softener on Sheets and lines (Tom T. House (27 ft Stiletto Catamaran "Salsa"))

I've washed my lines in fresh water and liquid soap before. After a thorough rinse, they are pretty soft and pliable; just like new. Never tried fabric softener, though. Sounds like a pretty good ides. When my wife was doing all the interior soft goods she ended up with quite a bit of material left over from the settees and vee berth cushions. She sewed them into large cushions with a zipper. She stuffed them with extra sweatshirts, jackets and towels. Now we have some extra useful items on board without taking up a lot of regular storage space. Just a thought.... Fair Winds.... mexsailor
