Greetings Sailors!
I am offering my services to any boat sailing from La Paz or Los Cabos to anywhere on the mainland for passage across the Sea of Cortez.
A little about myself: I am an anthropologist studying issues of globalization and mountaineering, and just completed my education at UCLA this past year. Now I'm on a voyage to travel across Central and South America over two years on my bicycle. Feel free to check out my website for more information about me and for more information about my journey.
I am dependable, hard-working, flexible, amiable, clean, and love to share stories, especially with folks who have extensive travel experience. After all, my journey is fueled by such stories, and what better way to celebrate life than to add more fuel to the flame that guides us all.
Past sailing experience: I have sailed to and from the Santa Cruz Islands and Catalina Island on a friend's sailboat. Besides being part of a crew on these voyages, I don't have much experience, BUT - I am willing to learn and am a fast learner. I can speak Spanish.
I can leave anytime, and am flexible with times and dates. Additionally, if you need any help pre-departure, I am more than willing to help out.
If you have any further questions about me, feel free to email me at dhungana[at]ucla[dot]edu.
Here's to wishing you all swift winds on your sails and open water in your horizons.
Happy trails, Japhy Dhungana
