I know about in detail but had lost track of where she is. The last I heard she was near Panama City Beach. I lived in Apalachicola when she was owned by the maritime museum (now defunct). The Destin schooner was built in Mobile (actually Coden south of the city, but in Mobile County) and is sister ship (with some differences) to Joshua--built in the same boat yard owned by Nathaniel and Gene Zirlott both deceased. The Stone was originally built in Pascagoula, MS in 1877. She was given (?) to the Biloxi Maritime and Seafood Industry Museum when they were fledgling and allowed to sink. A very industrious woman petitioned the owner to release the Stone to Apalachicola and she moved there in 1990. The Apalachicola Maritime Museum got many grants from the State of Florida to keep their museum (and boat) afloat. When the museum was closing, the Biloxi group tried to get the Stone back under their tent, but the State of Florida would not release her because of all the grant money given to maintain her. She will probably die a horrible death. Too bad. Biloxi now has all that casino money and could give her a good home.
