No. I am not the lady who got the Governor Stone for Apalachicola and started the maritime museum. This was in 1990 and I was living in Mobile and not thinking about moving or a maritime museum. I did move to Apalachicola in 1997 after my mother died because of her influence and to help with the Governor Stone and the museum. At that time I had a small canvas repair shop and rented the floor above the maritime museum in Apalachicola for my loft and she owned the building. She made it easy for me to have a place to set up shop and be part of that community. She still makes her home in Apalachicola and I am sure she is disappointed that the museum was a failure and the Stone moved.
