I have received a few emails from past owners in response to my post on several boating boards ... Salt Marine out of Florida, manufactured a line of boats which included two small trailer sailors ~
The Pepper 15
The Salt 19
Both were 'character' boats with Fiberglass hulls and wood upper structures/spars...and you guessed it, The Pepper is 15 feet LOD and The Salt is 19 feet LOD. These images are taken from an original brochure from the company.
If anyone can direct me to 'adoptable' boats (many have deteriorated badly with exposure to the elements since the 70's) or know of owners with info on their boats, please let me know.
Oh yeah ... these are thumbnails guys -- just click on the image to see a larger view.
In my Internet search, I ran across the following image and if my memory serves me well, this boat was on eBay.
Does anyone remember this? Fran, is this your boat?
