Don, Thanks for the detailed description of your seat replacement project. I do a bit of woodworking myself and had some idea of what was involved. It was good to read your "real-life" account. I also had a rough idea of the costs involved, but it still sounds like a lot. That's a third of what I paid for my entire boat & trailer!

I wanted to ask whether you'd be interested in making patterns from your old seats? The seats that came with my boat were poorly-made plywood replacements and don't fit well in some places. I don't have the originals. I suspect others on this board are in the same predicament. If we got enough Harpooners to make it financially worth your time, would you be willing to make patterns? I'd gladly pay enough for materials, postage, and your time.

Think about it and let us know. If anyone else would be interested in a set of seat patterns, please respond to this post so I can get some idea of the demand.

Again, thanks, Don, for this info. You definitely get my vote for Harpooner of the week.
