Shroud Adjusters

Report: outside forum guidelines

Just a quick question about the shroud adjusters. When attached to the chain plates, should the open side of the adjuster be facing in towards the center of the boat or towards the gunwale? If it is set up the wrong way, is this a potential problem? Thanks.
