Oh no Don, your system is much better! My boat was made in 1978 and is number 485 (I just found out today, my gelcoat has been painted over, but BW was kind enough to tell me from my hull number.) I am sure that my setup is original, and inadequate, and that is the reason it was changed. (What I don't understand is why there is 6' of line on each side, above the entrance. Seems strange and in the way.) I will do something very close to your setup, but add red and green indicators/colored-line for down and up. (I am so bad with that.) Thanks, you have been extremely helpful.
