Setting the mast

Report: outside forum guidelines

The s/s rod at the heel of the mast that sets into the tablenacle is very loose (the holes in the mast have widened from wear and tear). Are there any ideas on how to make it more secure. I was thinking about slipping the rod into a 3/8" ID s/s sleeve that would sit between the inside walls of the mast. I'd then epoxy or crimp the two together. Thanks for any help. Don
