Jay Thanks for your input here. Class rules are simply there to level the playing field. I'm one of those die hard single handed guys. Most regattas I sail in ( and there are many offered in my area ) are single handed. Each and every mod made to my 5.2 was designed and installed towards that end. I really don't see where any of the mods I've made would have any effect on boat speed , total weight, crew position, or any other factor. With that said, I will gladly remove any mods that the group feels may infringe on the class rules for next year's nationals. Great discussion, and really neat to see a lot of new folks getting involved
