Sail/Hull numbers - HIN vs. stencil

In Response To: sail numbers? (Kinney 4.6 #592)

My 5.2 HIN is #328, and this is the number on my mainsail. It's an old North with the foam headboard, and I assume it's original. The transom stencil says #357...

How do others with original sails with numbers match up? to their HIN or to the stencil?
