Does anyone use a paddle anymore? If your battery dies, as all batteries do, you can fall back on the trusty paddle. Good thing about a paddle, it always starts. And unlike OB motors, the wooden paddle floats. Of course paddles do break. The use of a paddle does require some effort to use, one must expel some energy, God forbid...But you have a sailboat so learn to sail to and from the dock. Or at least paddle a ways out from the dock and then set sail. Hey, not only will you learn how to sail better, you will also discover the lost art of paddling a boat, LOL.
