In Response To: Once I had the damaged glass ground out (pic) (Jenny, Harpoon 5.2)

around under the edge of the hole, which you gouged the foam out from under, in order to give the patch something more to adhere to than the rather modest bevel you get with the relatively thin skin (and a Dremel, and a normal human level of patience). The stuff is pretty messy to work with and this is what I wound up with in practice. It's molasses-colored because it was fairly old epoxy (the hardener darkens over time).
