When the 5.2 Harpoons were in production and actively racing, they published rules & regs, some of which applied to the dimensions & shape of the sails which were to be constructed of 5oz dacron. All sails were to be exactly alike so the boats could be raced as a class. Several sailmakers such as North,who designed the Harpoon sails for BW, have these patterns & can re-create the specified sails.Modifications to the sail rules would probably disqualify a boat in a current class race.
