Toping Lift/Halyard Installation

Report: outside forum guidelines

I have to install a toping lift for the spinnaker. But I don't know how.

The issue is probably the same for any internal halyard, like spinnaker or jib. How do you do that? How do you retrieve the darned thing through the guide hole where it is supposed to exit the mast? That seems nearly impossible. However, as with all things sailing, I am sure there is a neat trick.
