mincing words? is my mast an impostor?

In Response To: topping lift (WAYNE, '79 5.2, OCALA, FL)

My mast most definitely has internal halyards for the spinnaker and jib. I suppose to be accurate it's not the spinnaker but the spinnaker pole that has a topping lift. Running it through the mast turned out to be easy as pie. I removed the entry block for the jib halyard. Fished out the jib halyard and taped the spinnaker (pole) topping lift to it. Then ran it through until it appeared at the exit hole. We ended up not trying to fly a spinnaker this weekend and I later looked at the pictures from the Chris' web page and see that there is also a line going down from the spinnaker pole to a low point of the mast. So I am surmising that the "topping lift" line has a shackle on its mid point and then is attached to a fitting on the lower end of the mast. Is that accurate?

So, with internal halyards... does this mean that my mast is not a Harpoon mast but an impostor.
