In Response To: Are the topping lift and jib exiting at the same place? (Jay Levy - Indianapolis, IN 5.2 #35)

Jay,

If memory serves correctly, I had my spinnaker pole bungee topping lift (sorry about the mouth full) set up such that the pole was parallel to the water when I set it. The stretch of the bungee was only engaged when I tried to lower the pole in order to stretch the luff of the spinnaker.
