Hello all,
Fall is our best time of year to sail here, the weather has been great, the temperature not too hot and not too cold, the water temp still pleasant and, living in an area where S.E.C. football is considered the only true religion, on Saturdays you have the lake pretty much to yourself. So, what did I do? As you may remember, dementia set in and I purchased a 30 year old 30 foot Albin Ballad that had survived hurricane Katrina.
Since Labor Day weekend every Friday I have loaded up my work trailer and a friend and I have driven the four and a half hours to Mobile, AL (where the boat is located) spent all day Saturday and Sunday sanding, stripping paint, sanding, fiberglassing, sanding, painting, sanding, more painting, sanding, and buffing (which is very similar to sanding) then driving the four and a half hours home.
Mischief is not speaking to me.
The results of our labor can be seen at

Hope you enjoy.
Fair winds all.
