Hi JP, You can search this BB and find several posts from Harpoon owners who have replaced their seats. Here's a quote from a post by Uncle Al dated 5/04/06 at 1:57 that should answer your question:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The seats were constructed from 1' thick rough-cut teak planks about 7" wide X 6' long. My wife planed them to 3/4" thick and cut the biscuit notches at her woodworking class at the local high school. At home we bonded the planks together with West System epoxy and biscuits. All the cutting was done with a jigsaw and that is why I opted for a single seat instead of the original triple slats.
A 4' X 8' X 1/2" sheet of teak plywood, finished one side, used for the vertical side panels and the anchor well cover.
This lumber yard had a lot of scrap teak pieces and I lucked out with a 1 1/2" thick piece that was perfect for the motor mount. They also had a finished 5/16" thick X 8" X 6' piece that was ideal for the centerboard trunk cap.
I bonded two 3/4" leftover scraps from the seat to construct the tiller.
Good luck on your future project.
