Need winter trip ideas with the Harpoon

Looking for suggestions on where to go this winter. Thinking about a spot to hail the boat and do some sailing. Looking for something inland, as will have inexperienced crew with me.
I am in Michigan - would be driving. Thinking maybe Texas,Florida ?
Ideas ? Suggestions ?
